Our Solutions

Electroluminescence detection systems tailored to your operation

Whether you already have photographic equipment or need to deploy an inspection department from scratch, we have the technical solution.

01

Conversion of your Team

Send us your current camera (Sony, Canon, Nikon, Lumix). We remove the internal filter and calibrate the focal plane to turn it into a professional electroluminescence diagnostic tool.

02

New Equipment Sales

We supply cameras Mirrorless o DSLR brand new, modified in our laboratory and ready to work in solar parks. Direct DST warranty.

03

Tailor-made projects

We develop specific adaptations for integrators, automated in-line inspection systems or special configurations for drones.

Diagnostic Technology

Overcomes the limitations of standard thermography

Thermography detects hot spots, but electroluminescence is the only technique that works as an "X-ray" of the PV panel.

Conventional sensors block infrared light. At DST Photography we intervene the heart of the camera under strict cleaning conditions, installing optical filters that maximise capture in the silicon emission band (NIR spectrum from 850nm). The result: high resolution images where every micro-fissure is exposed.

National Leadership

Pioneers and unique in Spain in electroluminescence conversion.

We are the first and only optical laboratory in Spain dedicated to the modification of photographic sensors for electroluminescence at industrial and professional level.

We do not send your equipment to third parties or rely on foreign laboratories. The entire engineering process, from the extraction of the Hot Mirror The entire process, right down to the micrometric calibration of the focal plane, is carried out in-house under strict quality control.

Competitive Advantages

What does Electroluminescence provide?

Transforming a high-resolution commercial camera offers unparalleled advantages:

Radical Cost Savings Get lab results for a fraction of the price of a dedicated industrial electroluminescence chamber.
Higher Resolution It takes advantage of modern sensors with more than 24MP to detect the slightest micro-crack, PID or faulty solder.
Operational Versatility Lightweight and compact equipment, easily integrated into portable inspection systems, tripods or commercial drones.
DST methodology

A transparent and safe technical process

1

Initial Advice

We analyse your project (O&M, inspection) to recommend the appropriate modification.

2

Reception

We pick up your equipment by courier, or we buy the camera new.

3

Laboratory

Filter replacement and micrometric recalibration of the sensor in a clean room.

4

Frequently Asked Questions

We answer the most common questions about our technical conversion service.

What does the conversion of cameras for electroluminescence involve?
The process involves removing the internal filter (Hot Mirror) from the camera in our laboratory and replacing it with a specialized optical glass. This maximizes the capture of light in the silicon emission band (NIR spectrum from 850nm to 1150nm), allowing us to reveal micro-cracks, PIDs, and inactive cells in solar panels.
Do I have to send in my camera or do they sell pre-modified equipment?
We offer both solutions. You can send us your current equipment (Sony, Canon, Nikon, or Lumix) for conversion, or we can supply you with brand-new, pre-modified mirrorless or DSLR cameras, ready to work in solar farms.
What are the advantages of using a modified camera compared to an industrial one?
It offers three major advantages: radical cost savings compared to dedicated industrial equipment, superior resolution (taking advantage of sensors over 24MP to detect the smallest defects), and great versatility as they are lightweight devices that are easily integrated into tripods or drones.
What is the difference between standard thermography and electroluminescence?
Thermography detects hot spots on the surface of the panel, but electroluminescence acts like an "X-ray" of the photovoltaic module. It is the only technique that allows you to see inside the cell and detect microcracks that are not yet generating heat.
Does the focus get lost when the camera sensor is changed?
No. After replacing the filter, we perform a micrometric recalibration of the focal plane to ensure zero focus deviation. We deliver the equipment with rigorous optical testing and a 6-month warranty.
